Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby has expressed strong approval for quarterback Kirk Cousins' recent play, noting his significant contributions to the team's current 4-4 record. The Raiders are coming off a 38-33 victory against the New York Jets, positioning them as playoff contenders.
Crosby, speaking on his podcast "The Rush," highlighted Cousins' performance, stating, "Kirk is doing his thing. Balling the f–k out. Again." He made these remarks following the Raiders' win over the Jets, a game where Cousins delivered his best performance of the season.
During the victory against the Jets, Cousins threw for three touchdowns, connecting twice with tight end Brock Bowers and once with Jalen Nailor. He also added a 1-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter, which he celebrated with his signature "wellness check" dance. This performance came after a four-game losing streak that had raised questions about Cousins' future with the team, with speculation that rookie Fernando Mendoza might be given a chance to start.
Cousins' resurgence has drawn praise beyond the locker room. Even minority owner Tom Brady commented on social media about Cousins' "wellness check" celebration, writing, "Hit em with the wellness!!!!"
With 19 passing touchdowns, Cousins is currently second in the NFL in that category, trailing only Joe Burrow. The Raiders' recent success, fueled by Cousins' improved play, has placed them in a position to control their own playoff destiny.
