EA Sports has unveiled the initial player ratings for "Madden NFL 27," with Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen leading the pack as members of the coveted 99 Club. Stafford and Allen share the top rating among quarterbacks, though Stafford is listed ahead of Allen.

Other top-rated quarterbacks include Joe Burrow at 97, Lamar Jackson at 96, and Patrick Mahomes at 93. Jared Goff of the Detroit Lions rounds out the top 10 quarterback ratings with an 88.

Joining Stafford and Allen in the 99 Club are wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, defensive end Myles Garrett, and tight end Trey McBride. Chase, who has exceeded 1,000 receiving yards in every season since 2021, and Smith-Njigba, who recently signed a record-setting contract extension with the Seattle Seahawks, lead the wide receiver class. Other top wideouts include Puka Nacua, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Justin Jefferson.

At running back, Detroit Lions' Jahmyr Gibbs received the highest rating with a 98. Christian McCaffrey follows with a 97, with Jonathan Taylor and Bijan Robinson both at 95. Kyren Williams of the Rams also features in the top 10.

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, who graces the cover of "Madden NFL 27," received a 90 overall rating. Williams has expressed his ambition to reach the 99 Club by the end of the season, stating his goal is to improve his completion percentage while maintaining a low interception rate.

On the team side, the Rams earned the game's highest overall rating with a 93.

"Madden NFL 27" is scheduled for release on August 13, with an early access period available up to seven days prior for MVP+ members.
