Manchester United Fans Hospitalized After Bar Fight Before Como Match
Three supporters sustained minor injuries following a brawl at Krudo Bar, which occurred hours before the team's Champions League loss.
Three Manchester United fans were hospitalized after a violent altercation at a bar in Como, Italy, on Wednesday morning. The fight, which involved approximately ten supporters, took place at the Krudo Bar in Piazza Volta.
Footage circulating on social media depicted an initial confrontation escalating quickly. One fan was seen throwing two punches at another man, knocking him to the ground. Other fans then appeared to join the fray. A younger fan was also seen being struck by several older men before pushing one away.
The incident, which occurred around 1 a.m., led to shattered glass and displaced furniture within the bar. Blood was also visible on the floor in the aftermath.
Police and medical services were dispatched to the scene. Three men, aged 43, 45, and 49, received initial treatment before being transported to Sant'Anna Hospital. Reports indicated their injuries were minor.
Authorities in Como, with assistance from British law enforcement, have launched an investigation to identify all individuals involved in the fight.
The incident preceded Manchester United's Champions League match against Como, where the team suffered a significant 4-1 defeat. This loss has intensified pressure on head coach Michael Carrick, as the club has secured only two victories in eleven matches this season.
