Manchester City has reached an agreement in principle with Everton for the transfer of winger Iliman Ndiaye, with a deal potentially worth up to £65 million. The initial agreement includes a guaranteed £60 million, with an additional £5 million contingent on add-ons.
This transfer comes after previous negotiations between Tottenham and Everton for Ndiaye stalled. Tottenham had reportedly agreed on terms for Ndiaye's transfer, with Richarlison moving to Everton as part of a separate deal. However, Richarlison was unable to finalize personal terms with his former club, preventing the Ndiaye transfer from proceeding to Tottenham. Richarlison has since stated his intention to remain at Tottenham. Tottenham is now reportedly pursuing a loan move for Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk.
Meanwhile, Manchester City's pursuit of Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo, an £80 million move, appears unlikely to materialize. Liverpool is willing to sell Gakpo, but only if they can secure a replacement attacker. Although Liverpool completed the signing of Bradley Barcola for up to £123 million, they are still seeking another offensive player should Gakpo depart. The Anfield club had previously targeted Yankuba Minteh and Ismaila Sarr, but valuations proved problematic. As a result, Liverpool is now expected to keep Gakpo unless a new winger can be signed before the upcoming transfer deadline.
