Manchester City is actively pursuing 16-year-old Leicester City winger Jeremy Monga, challenging Arsenal's efforts to sign the young talent. Arsenal had appeared close to securing a deal for the winger, but negotiations have stalled as the club has reportedly fallen short of Leicester's £10 million valuation.
Monga, who is set to turn 17 on July 10 and sign a professional contract, had initially favored a move to Arsenal. However, Manchester City has seized the opportunity presented by the delay to present their own proposal. The teenager was familiar to City's new head coach, Enzo Maresca, during his time at Leicester.
Maresca is reportedly keen to integrate Monga into the Manchester City squad to enhance competition. Other clubs, including Manchester United and Brentford, had also expressed interest in the player.
