Madison Beer was photographed in Los Angeles on Monday, days after her engagement to Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert. The singer and model, 28, was seen wearing a white hoodie, grey bike shorts, white socks, and black penny loafers as she stepped out.
Herbert recently shared that he experienced more nerves before proposing to Beer than he did before his first NFL start at age 22. "The proposal, for sure," Herbert admitted with a grin when questioned by reporters during training camp.
Members of the Chargers roster indicated that the engagement was not entirely unexpected. Safety Derwin James Jr. told reporters that Herbert had mentioned his intention to propose a long time ago. Linebacker Daiyan Henley recalled discussing the prospect with Herbert as early as Week 1 of the 2025 season.
Beer made a surprise appearance at the Chargers' training camp the previous week, where she was seen engaging in public displays of affection with Herbert on the sidelines. She appeared to still be radiant in her new role as a fiancée, hugging Herbert as he left the field at the end of the session.
The couple were first seen together last summer on the set of one of Beer's music videos. She subsequently attended Chargers games, appearing by the sidelines and in VIP suites. Their relationship was publicly acknowledged in Week 5 when they shared a kiss before a game against the Washington Commanders.
Herbert later featured in Beer's music video for her song "lovergirl," released in May as part of her "locket deluxe" album. Even Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh commented on the quarterback's personal life, expressing happiness for the couple. "We didn't know until after he told us," Harbaugh said. "We were all over that. He kind of said it was going to happen this summer and, yeah, it's awesome. I feel great for him. It's awesome."
When asked for marriage advice, Harbaugh suggested, "Attack each day with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind together."
