Mac Jones Identifies Seafood and Coffee as Major Dating 'Red Flags'

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Mac Jones has revealed what he considers his most significant dating "red flags": aversions to seafood and coffee. Jones, 28, shared these culinary deal-breakers during an appearance on "The Kittle Things," a podcast hosted by George Kittle, the 49ers' star tight end, and his wife, Claire Kittle.

Claire Kittle identified Jones' refusal to eat seafood as a major dating concern. "You don’t eat seafood!" she stated on the podcast, adding that not drinking coffee might be an even greater red flag. Jones, who is currently single, agreed with her assessment, acknowledging these as his two primary dating pitfalls.

Jones, who serves as a backup quarterback for the 49ers, joked that he would resort to ordering from the kids' menu if taken to a seafood restaurant. He also offered advice to potential suitors, humorously suggesting, "Don’t go to a seafood spot with me."

Despite these particular dislikes, the Kittles highlighted Jones' positive attributes as "green flags" for dating. Claire Kittle pointed to his personality as a major plus, stating, "Everyone loves that." George Kittle elaborated, describing Jones' positivity as his biggest green flag, noting his ability to maintain a smile and a love for life even during challenging times.

Claire Kittle further praised Jones for his consistent positive attitude, particularly during difficult periods for the team, such as dealing with injuries or consecutive losses. The 49ers have faced numerous injuries this season but have maintained a strong 6-1 record, leading the NFC West. With starting quarterback Brock Purdy healthy, Jones has seen limited playing time, appearing in only one game this season in a situation where the outcome was already decided. The 49ers are currently on a bye week.
