Thomas 'Bo' Boyer Bryan, 18, the starting quarterback for Battle Ground Academy in Tennessee and son of country music star Luke Bryan, suffered a broken collarbone during a high school football game on Friday night. The injury occurred during a contest against Pope John Paul II High School.

Bo Bryan was sacked during the game, landing heavily on his right shoulder with two defenders falling on top of him. Medical staff and team trainers placed his arm in a sling and wrapped his shoulder before he was kept on the sideline for the remainder of the game.

He confirmed the fracture on his Instagram account Saturday, stating, "Broke my collarbone last night. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. We will be back."

Speaking with local media, Bryan noted that he initially believed the impact was a "stinger" but realized the severity of the injury once he got to his feet. "Once I got up I knew something was wrong. When I got to the sideline, I really knew something was wrong," he said.

Battle Ground Academy head coach Bobby Bentley acknowledged the team will need to adjust to the loss of their key offensive player. "I don't know what we're looking at yet. We'll have to figure this thing out. That's the challenge for us as a team and as coaches. What do we do? How do we do it? We're going to figure it out," Bentley stated.

The injury marks a significant setback for Bo Bryan's senior season. He had recorded 2,006 passing yards, 30 passing touchdowns, and just three interceptions prior to Friday's game.

Luke Bryan has previously expressed pride in his son's football career, emphasizing his hard work and dedication. "You see the hard work he puts in, and you just want the hard work to pay off. The main thing is to see his hard work and his commitment and his love for the game. I'm just so proud of him," the singer told reporters.
