Liverpool are reportedly pursuing Crystal Palace winger Ismaila Sarr as they seek to strengthen their attacking options before the upcoming transfer deadline. The Anfield club's interest in Sarr emerged after Brighton & Hove Albion rejected two bids for their young winger Yankuba Minteh, with offers of £50 million and £60 million reportedly turned down.
Both Minteh and Sarr are right-sided wingers with Premier League experience. However, Crystal Palace is understood to be reluctant to part with the Senegal international this summer. Sarr has also attracted interest from Galatasaray in recent days. Liverpool and Crystal Palace have both denied reports that a bid has been made for Sarr.
Despite the club's denials, Liverpool is said to be assessing all available options to bring in wide attackers, with a target of making two signings before the transfer window closes. Talks are also ongoing with Paris Saint-Germain regarding a potential deal for French winger Bradley Barcola.
Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner expressed his hope that both Sarr and teammate Jean-Philippe Mateta will remain at the club. "For the moment, yes, because you have three years on the contract it is not easy to leave," Glasner said regarding Sarr's potential departure. He acknowledged that such interest can create hesitation but reiterated that Sarr is under contract and currently with the team. Glasner also noted that Sarr is currently injured, suggesting it might be linked to the transfer situation, but stated his priority is to have the player back on the pitch as quickly as possible.
