Liverpool has completed the signing of 18-year-old French forward Djylian N'Guessan from Saint-Etienne on a pre-contract agreement. The transfer fee for the France youth international is reported to be approximately £4.3 million.

N'Guessan will spend the current season on loan at Stade Brest, a club in France's Ligue 1. He is expected to join the Liverpool squad in January, with his situation to be reassessed at the start of the new year, potentially leading to another loan spell.

The young forward was recognized for his performance at the Under-17 Euros in Albania, where he was named in the team of the tournament. His signing is viewed as a significant acquisition for Liverpool's global talent strategy under head of global talent Matt Newberry.

In recent years, Liverpool has focused on signing several young players, including Ifeanyi Ndukwe, Mor Talla Ndiaye, Armin Pesci, Samuel Martinez, and Luca Brughmans. The club also worked to bring established players such as Bradley Barcola, Victor Munoz, and Jeremy Jacquet into the first team.

Liverpool is scheduled to play Ipswich at Portman Road this evening as they seek their first win of the new season.
