Cornerback Levi Wallace announced his retirement from the NFL at age 31, concluding an eight-year career that began as an undrafted free agent.

Wallace spent his final season with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2023 but was placed on injured reserve and did not play. His last game action was with the Denver Broncos in 2024. He shared his retirement on Instagram with the caption, "Walk-on. Undrafted. 8 years. Retired."

Wallace's journey in football started at the University of Alabama, where he joined the team as a walk-on in 2014. He spent his first two seasons on the scout team before earning a scholarship in 2016. By 2017, he was a key starter for the Crimson Tide's National Championship-winning defense. That season, he recorded 48 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, three interceptions, and led the SEC with 15 pass breakups, returning one interception for a touchdown.

After going undrafted, Wallace signed with the Buffalo Bills as a free agent. He earned a starting spot during his rookie year, starting seven games, and went on to start every game he played in for the Bills over his four-year tenure. With Buffalo, he accumulated 219 tackles and six interceptions.

Following his time with the Bills, Wallace signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Over two seasons, he started 18 of 31 games and recorded six interceptions.
