Leicester City is on the market, with its Thai owners, King Power, seeking over £200 million for the club after 16 years of ownership. A sales booklet, produced by US investment bank Citigroup, has been created to facilitate the sale. The package includes the 32,000-seat King Power Stadium, the Seagrave training facility opened in 2020 and valued at £121 million, and Leicester's Belgian sister club, OH Leuven.
The sales brochure, titled 'Project Lineup,' highlights the club's past successes, including its 2016 Premier League title and a 2021 FA Cup triumph. However, the document omits recent performance, such as the club's current position in League One following consecutive relegations from the Premier League and Championship between 2023 and 2025. During this period, the club incurred losses exceeding £180 million.
Citigroup forecasts a turnover of more than £97 million for the 2026 financial year. The brochure also omits details about the club's financial losses and debts, which include £103.6 million in bank loans as of its 2025 accounts.
