LeBron James indicated on Thursday that a decision regarding his next NBA team is forthcoming. Speaking at Fanatics Fest in New York, the 41-year-old athlete stated, "I won’t hold you guys up too much longer."

The exact timing of James' announcement remains uncertain, potentially spanning hours, days, or weeks. The ongoing free-agency saga has impacted the NBA's schedule release, according to Commissioner Adam Silver.

"We have to finish up the schedule and where LeBron plays affects the schedule... It will influence how we set the schedule — opening week, Christmas. So I need him to make a decision," Silver commented.

James has taken his time to consider his options throughout the offseason. Throughout this period, the Cavaliers, Heat, 76ers, and Warriors have been consistently mentioned as potential destinations. Speculation recently suggested the Warriors had moved into a more favorable position.

Despite a 23-year career, James continues to be a significant star in the league, as evidenced by the NBA's deference in finalizing its schedule. Reports suggest James is not expected to announce his decision over the weekend, indicating a potential announcement as early as next week.
