Reports from July 13 suggested that Green used that vacation to recruit James to the Warriors, potentially influencing James's consideration of joining the team. However, the recent golf event appeared to be a more relaxed affair, with social media posts from Steve Stoute, who also attended, showing the group sharing jokes.
One interaction captured on Instagram Stories featured James playfully teasing Hart about his golf game. "I'm up 3–0. I'm cooking you. You know how many teams came back from 3–0? None!" James said, referencing Hart's performance. Hart responded by questioning James's recollection, to which James humorously retorted, "3–1 bitch!" referencing the Cleveland Cavaliers' comeback against the Warriors in the 2016 NBA Finals.
