Kyle Walker Spotted Intoxicated in Cannes Amid Burnley's Struggles

A video circulating on social media appears to show Burnley defender Kyle Walker in an intoxicated state alone in Cannes late at night. The footage emerged after Walker, 36, had spent the day partying with his wife, Annie Kilner, on a break during the three-week international hiatus. Walker's team, Burnley, has faced a difficult start to the Championship season, currently sitting at the bottom of the league table.

The video was posted to X, formerly Twitter, by a user who claimed to have encountered Walker. The caption accompanying the video read: "I just ran into Kyle Walker all alone and, above all, completely plastered right in the middle of Cannes." The social media post followed an Instagram story shared by Kilner, showing the couple enjoying themselves on a beach in the French Riviera.

Walker has featured in six matches for Burnley this season, taking on the captain's armband in the absence of the injured Josh Cullen. However, his recent form has coincided with the team's struggles. Manager Nicky Hayen dropped Walker from the starting lineup for Burnley's 1-1 draw against Derby County on Saturday.

Burnley are currently winless in the Championship after eight games, a stark contrast to their previous Premier League status. The club has not secured a league victory at Turf Moor since October 2025 and has not won any competition since February. Their most recent match saw them concede a late equalizer to Derby County, extending their winless streak and their position at the foot of the table.

Wales international Connor Roberts occupied the right-back position against Derby, with Walker remaining on the bench for the entire match.

Walker and Kilner welcomed their fifth child, a daughter named Royal Wish, in July. She is their first daughter, joining four sons: Roman, 11, Riaan, seven, Reign, five, and 14-month-old Rezon. Kilner had previously expressed a desire for privacy as the family adjusted to the new addition.

The couple married in 2021, but their relationship faced public scrutiny in January 2024 following revelations about Walker's paternity of Lauryn Goodman's daughter, Kinara. This news led to a temporary separation and divorce proceedings, though the couple has since reconciled and had another child.
