Kvaratskhelia to Undergo Knee Surgery for Ruptured ACL

Paris St-Germain winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is scheduled for knee surgery after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during the team's 4-2 victory over Barcelona on Tuesday. The injury occurred during a challenge with Xavi Espart, forcing Kvaratskhelia to be substituted in the 59th minute. He was unable to put weight on his right leg following the incident.

The club has not provided a timeline for his return to play. Kvaratskhelia, 25, joined PSG in January 2025 and has been a part of the squad that has won back-to-back Champions League titles. He has appeared in 11 matches for PSG this season.

Additionally, Paris St-Germain confirmed that Ousmane Dembele and Marquinhos will be sidelined for "a few weeks." Dembele sustained a left thigh injury, while Marquinhos suffered a right thigh injury. These absences add to the team's challenges as they navigate their Champions League campaign.
