The New York Knicks will open their 2026-27 NBA season at Madison Square Garden against LeBron James and the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday, Oct. 20. The game will also mark the 76ers' debut with their new-look roster.

"They're going to be electric. They're going to be definitely a team to keep your eye on. They reloaded this year," Knicks player Jalen Brunson said of the 76ers on NBC's Today Show. "It's going to be a tough test, but we'll be ready."

Prior to tipoff, the Knicks will receive their championship rings and raise their 2025-26 season banner, their first since 1973, to the rafters. The last time these two Eastern Conference rivals met was in the Conference Semifinals in May, where the Knicks swept the 76ers 4-0.

Tickets for the season opener are already available. As of publication, the lowest price found for seats was $2,219, including fees, on SeatGeek. Prices for 100-level seats start at $3,479 with fees. A discount code, NYPOST10, offers $10 off purchases over $250 for first-time SeatGeek users.

Beyond the season opener, the Knicks are scheduled to play the Boston Celtics on Friday, Oct. 23, at TD Garden, and will host the San Antonio Spurs in an NBA Finals rematch on Christmas Day at Madison Square Garden. The full NBA schedule has not yet been released.

Madison Square Garden is also set to host several major concerts in the fall and winter of 2026. Scheduled performers include Bryson Tiller on Sept. 13, Gorillaz on Sept. 29, Dave Matthews Band on Nov. 12-13, Doja Cat on Dec. 1, and Andrea Bocelli on Dec. 16-17.
