The New York Knicks have signed veteran center Andre Drummond to a one-year contract worth $3.9 million, according to ESPN. The move aims to fill the roster spot vacated by Mitchell Robinson, who has moved to the Boston Celtics.

Drummond, a two-time All-Star, joins the Knicks after averaging 6.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 0.8 blocks per game in 63 appearances for the Philadelphia 76ers last season. The 6-foot-11 center is a native of Mount Vernon, New York. His addition is expected to help the Knicks maintain their competitive standing as they navigate salary cap constraints, particularly staying under the league's second apron.
