Knicks Face Celtics in NBA on Prime Broadcast Seeking First Win
Both the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics are aiming for their initial victory of the season as they meet for the first NBA on Prime game of 2026-27.
The New York Knicks will play their second game of the season on October 23 against the Boston Celtics, the first NBA on Prime broadcast of the 2026-27 season. The matchup is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET at TD Garden in Boston.
Both teams enter the game looking for their first win. The Celtics opened their season with a road loss to Detroit on Tuesday. The Knicks are coming off a 106-100 defeat against the Philadelphia 76ers in their season opener. Despite leading by 10 points multiple times in the second quarter, the Knicks could not hold on to the lead.
This game will mark the return of former Knick Mitchell Robinson, who now plays center for the Celtics after signing with them in the offseason. Robinson was part of the Knicks' championship-winning team last season.
The Knicks vs. Celtics game will stream exclusively on Prime Video. New subscribers can sign up for a 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime, which includes access to Prime Video. After the trial period, Amazon Prime membership costs $14.99 per month or $139 per year. A discounted Prime for Young Adults membership is also available for individuals aged 18-24, offering a 50% discount on the monthly price after a six-month free trial.
The Knicks have 10 NBA on Prime games scheduled for the 2026-27 season, not including potential NBA Cup knockout games. Their schedule includes matchups against the Philadelphia 76ers, Indiana Pacers, Miami Heat, Atlanta Hawks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Lakers, and Detroit Pistons.
