Rookie quarterback Cade Klubnik guided the Jets offense on a 70-yard touchdown drive during the two-minute drill to conclude Monday's practice. The drive culminated with Klubnik connecting with Quincy Skinner Jr. for a touchdown pass in the back of the end zone.

During the decisive drive, Klubnik also found Jelani Woods three times. On a crucial fourth-and-8 situation, Klubnik extended the play by scrambling for a first down after coaches encouraged him to keep the play alive. This late-game success provided a strong finish to the practice session.

In other practice observations, quarterback Geno Smith threw an interception to Andre Cisco. Cisco, who is competing to retain his starting safety position against Dane Belton, intercepted a pass that was thrown directly to his chest and then gained significant yardage.

The Jets also dedicated a portion of practice to offense operating from deep within their own territory. Head coach Aaron Glenn emphasized the importance of these situations, stating that "Everything is magnified for the offense in a backed-up situation." He added that while these scenarios may not occur frequently, they are critical for offensive execution and understanding.

Injuries were also noted during practice. Running back Breece Hall sustained a groin strain, though Glenn expressed optimism that the injury is not severe. Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and linebacker Demerio Davis were given veteran rest days and did not participate. Wide receiver Garrett Wilson was absent due to illness and vomiting. Defensive tackle T’Vondre Sweat and outside linebacker Joseph Assai practiced for the first time in training camp. Cornerback Mory Bamba, who had been a standout in the first preseason game, may be sidelined for a "couple weeks" with a knee injury.
