Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert and pop star Madison Beer announced their engagement on Tuesday. The couple shared the news in a joint social media post captioned "meet my fiancé."
The social media announcement featured a slideshow of 12 pictures, including images of the couple sharing a kiss, Herbert proposing to Beer, and a wooden sign that read "Mr. and Mrs. Herbert."
The pair were first linked in August 2025 when Herbert was seen with Beer on the set of one of her music videos. They appeared to confirm dating rumors when they were photographed together at a Chargers game in October of the same year. They later attended a Los Angeles Lakers game, where a viral moment occurred as Herbert blocked an errant basketball from hitting Beer.
Herbert, 28, and Beer, 27, have birthdays five days apart, and both posted affectionate messages to each other for their respective birthdays in March.
Herbert is preparing for his seventh season as the Chargers' quarterback. In the previous season, he led the team to an 11-5 record over 16 games, completing 66.4% of his passes for 3,727 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions. He also recorded 498 rushing yards and two touchdowns, earning him a second career Pro Bowl selection.
