Justin Bieber has been confirmed as the latest performer for the FIFA World Cup Final halftime show, scheduled for July 19. FIFA announced Bieber's inclusion on Wednesday, adding him to a lineup that already includes Madonna, Shakira, and BTS.

The 11-minute performance will also feature Afrobeats artist Burna Boy, conductor Gustavo Dudamel, and the PS22 Chorus from Staten Island, New York. Coldplay's Chris Martin is curating the show, which will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund's goal of raising $100 million for children's education and soccer programs.

"The FIFA World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can," Bieber said in a statement. "I'm grateful to be part of this Halftime Show, and even more grateful knowing it's already helping expand access to education for children around the world."

Burna Boy, who collaborates with Shakira on the official World Cup anthem "Dai Dai," expressed his honor in representing Africa on the global stage. "The FIFA World Cup is one of the few moments that truly brings the entire world together," he stated. "To represent Africa on the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show is a privilege and a responsibility that I don't take lightly."

While halftime shows are a staple of the Super Bowl, they are less common for major soccer events, which often feature pre-match concerts, such as those seen during the Champions League final.

Amidst the confirmed performers, rumors continue to circulate regarding a potential surprise appearance by Taylor Swift. Though no official confirmation exists, Swift remains a popular speculation among fans and bookmakers.

The halftime entertainment will also include appearances by characters from "Sesame Street" and the Muppets, including Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy.
