Jose Ramirez's Postseason Surge Fuels Guardians' ALCS Charge

Jose Ramirez has found his rhythm at the plate at a critical juncture for the Cleveland Guardians, delivering a powerful performance throughout the postseason.

Ramirez is batting .333 with a .667 slugging percentage in the playoffs. He has recorded 1.5 total bases in four of his last five games, a stretch that includes two home runs, a triple, and a double. His offensive resurgence was on display in Game 1 of the American League Championship Series against the Tampa Bay Rays, where he contributed a three-hit performance in Cleveland's victory.

The Guardians' superstar has overcome an injury-plagued regular season to become the team's most dangerous offensive weapon. His current hot streak is expected to continue as the ALCS shifts to Cleveland for Game 3, with the series tied at one game apiece.

Ramirez is set to face Tampa Bay pitcher Griffin Jax, a pitcher he has a history with from Jax's time with the Minnesota Twins. In 17 career at-bats against Jax, Ramirez has recorded five hits for a .294 batting average. He has also found success against the Rays' bullpen, notching singles off relievers Cole Sulser and Tyler Wells, as well as a hit against Tampa Bay ace Drew Rasmussen.

Despite Jax's recent strong pitching, Ramirez's current form at the plate suggests he is capable of making a significant impact, whether through a series of singles or a single, decisive swing.
