New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh is leaning towards playing his starters in preseason games this year, suggesting it's a strong possibility for the team's exhibition matchups against the Vikings, Dolphins, and Jets. Harbaugh stated that the decision has not been finalized but expressed a desire to get his young roster valuable experience.

"We’re a young team," Harbaugh said. "So, young guys, we’re going to want them out there playing and getting experience. So, I would think that would be the way we’d be leaning."

Details regarding the exact number of snaps or which specific games will feature the starters are still being determined. The coach also addressed an incident during practice where quarterback Jaxson Dart engaged in a ball flip after a touchdown run with cornerback Greg Newsome II. Dart characterized the interaction as typical competitive behavior between teammates.

"G-New’s my brother," Dart said. "I mean, brothers compete, brothers get into it. It’s a battle every single play, and I think that when you’re in those environments, it just gets competitive. So, that’s just kind of football, but at the same time, you got to respect the fact that you hold each other accountable and you have those conversations."

In roster news, the Giants signed fullback Grant Finley, who previously participated in rookie minicamp, and waived tight end Tyler Moore. Finley becomes the second fullback on the team's roster.
