FOX Sports college football analyst Joel Klatt hosted a live edition of "The Joel Klatt Show" in Ann Arbor ahead of Michigan's matchup with No. 11 Oklahoma. The event, held at The Circ Bar, featured guest appearances and discussions on current college football topics.

Among the guests were former Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops and "Big Noon Kickoff" colleagues Jenny Taft and Dave Portnoy. The show covered various aspects of college football, including potential playoff expansion and team expectations. A notable segment involved polygraph tests administered to Klatt and Portnoy.

During the live show, Portnoy, a self-proclaimed Michigan football fan, revealed his all-time Michigan team. His selections included quarterback J.J. McCarthy and defensive player Charles Woodson, both instrumental in the Wolverines' recent national championship win. He also named Desmond Howard and Anthony Carter as wide receivers and Tim Biakabutuka as running back.

Portnoy also shared his perspective on former Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, who led the team to an undefeated 15-0 record and a national title in his final season. Despite Harbaugh's success, including three consecutive Big Ten Championships from 2021-23 and an 86-25 overall record, Portnoy stated he had previously desired a change in coaching. He noted that McCarthy's emergence as quarterback marked a turning point.

Bob Stoops, who coached the Sooners from 1999 to 2016, compiled a 191-48 record and won a BCS National Championship in 2000. He offered his thoughts on the proposed expansion of the College Football Playoff to 24 teams. Stoops suggested that such an expansion could allow teams to recover from setbacks, like a home loss, and still remain in contention for the playoffs.

The polygraph test segment included questions for both Klatt and Portnoy. Klatt was asked about his colleagues and his alma mater, Colorado, and confidently stated his belief that Michigan could win its upcoming game against Oklahoma. Portnoy's test focused on his reaction to an upset involving Rutgers and UMass in Week 1.
