Los Angeles Lakers coach JJ Redick, a noted sharpshooter during his own NBA career, has identified his top five greatest three-point shooters in league history. Speaking on Draymond Green's podcast, "The Draymond Green Show," Redick placed Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry in the undisputed first position.
"Steph is first. Everybody else is way down the list to me," Redick stated, a sentiment Green agreed with. Redick then listed his other four selections in no particular order: Klay Thompson, Kyle Korver, Ray Allen, and Reggie Miller.
While Allen and Miller are widely recognized among the elite, Redick's inclusion of Kyle Korver drew attention. Korver's career accolades may not parallel those of the other legends on the list, but Redick highlighted his exceptional shooting prowess.
During his career, Korver maintained a 42.9% three-point field goal percentage, which ranks 10th all-time and is higher than Curry's career 42.2%. Korver also ranks eighth all-time in made three-pointers with 2,450. Redick pointed to Korver's 49.2% three-point shooting season with the Atlanta Hawks as a particularly impressive display.
Green appeared to concur with Redick's choices, nodding during the discussion. Notable omissions from Redick's list include players like Damian Lillard and James Harden.
