New York Jets cornerback Qwan'tez Stiggers was taken off the field in an ambulance during a joint training camp practice with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Tuesday in Florham Park, New Jersey. The practice was halted following the incident.

According to reports, Stiggers was given an IV while on the field before being transported. Head coach Aaron Glenn stated that Stiggers came to the sideline after a play and "passed out," but was conscious and able to communicate. Glenn added that Stiggers was "able to talk" and is "for the most part...good."

Temperatures in Florham Park reached 85 degrees Fahrenheit on Tuesday, following a weekend that saw temperatures approach 100 degrees. Stiggers, who joined the Jets as a fifth-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, became the first player drafted directly from the Canadian Football League (CFL) since 1999. He played for the Toronto Argonauts in the CFL before being drafted by the Jets. Last season, he appeared in 15 games, recording 27 tackles and recovering two fumbles.

The joint practice between the Jets and Buccaneers was also marked by several altercations, including at least three fights. Stiggers was reportedly involved in one of these earlier fights during the practice.
