Utah Jazz guard Trey Alexander was stretchered off the court Monday during a Summer League game in Las Vegas after sustaining a rib injury. The incident occurred in the fourth quarter against the Chicago Bulls when Alexander, 23, drove to the basket and made contact with Bulls player Caleb Wilson.

Alexander fell to the floor behind the basket, appearing to be in significant pain and clutching his side. Medical trainers attended to him for several minutes before he was moved onto a stretcher and taken off the court. The Jazz announced Tuesday that Alexander suffered a rib contusion.

Alexander signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Jazz for the upcoming season. He previously played nine games for the New Orleans Pelicans during the 2025-26 season, averaging 5.2 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 1.0 assist per game. Prior to his NBA stint, Alexander spent three seasons at Creighton University, where he averaged 12.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.2 assists. He was named G League Rookie of the Year for the 2024-25 season and also played 24 games for the Denver Nuggets that same year.
