Jay-Z Tapped for Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show
The Roc Nation founder will perform at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on February 14, 2027.
Jay-Z is set to headline the Super Bowl LXI halftime show, Apple Music announced Monday. The performance will take place on February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
The announcement was made during halftime of the Dallas Cowboys-Philadelphia Eagles game. Apple Music posted on X, formerly Twitter, "GOAT’s out of the bag," tagging Jay-Z.
Reports had previously suggested Jay-Z was a leading contender for the halftime performance. Puck News had reported that the rapper was chosen over Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber.
Jay-Z's entertainment company, Roc Nation, has been in partnership with the NFL for the halftime show production since 2019.
This performance will follow Jay-Z's 30 Tour, which celebrated the 30th anniversary of his debut album, "Reasonable Doubt." His wife, Beyoncé, previously headlined the Super Bowl halftime show in 2013 and joined Coldplay and Bruno Mars in 2016.
