Jamie Vardy, the prolific former Leicester City and England striker, has joined Burnley on a season-long contract. Vardy, who is Leicester's record Premier League scorer with 145 goals, departed the club for Cremonese in 2025.

After leaving the Italian side in the summer, Vardy now makes his move to the Clarets, who are currently at the bottom of the Championship and yet to secure a win. "This club has a proper footballing history and passionate fans who deserve a team that represents them and their town," Vardy told the club's website.
