Jalen Hurts Caught on Hot Mic Yelling at Teammate During Eagles' Loss
Quarterback Jalen Hurts was heard using expletives at a receiver during the Philadelphia Eagles' 24-20 defeat to the Los Angeles Rams.
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was captured on a hot mic yelling expletives at a receiver during the team's recent 24-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. The incident occurred in the first quarter when Hurts instructed receiver Dontayvion Wicks to move off the line of scrimmage and go in motion, but Wicks did not immediately understand the signal.
"Get off the f---ing ball! Come on!" Hurts was heard shouting, captured by the FOX broadcast. Play-by-play announcer Tom Brady reacted with "Uh oh," and his partner Kevin Burkhardt added, "That’s not good."
The Eagles held a 20-10 lead at halftime, but the team experienced a significant collapse in the second half. Key offensive players, including receiver DeVonta Smith and tight end Dallas Goedert, were absent, and running back Saquon Barkley left the game early with a hamstring injury. The Eagles' offense struggled, failing to convert a third down on seven of their second-half drives. Hurts threw for only 93 yards in the game, a career low for him in a start-to-finish outing.
Despite the offensive struggles and the eventual loss, Hurts remained composed in his postgame comments. "I have the utmost confidence in this team. I have the utmost confidence in this group. We just have to endure. Be persistent and keep committing to one another," he told reporters.
This marks the second consecutive week Hurts has been at the center of a viral moment. The Eagles, now with a 2-2 record, are set to travel to London to face the Jacksonville Jaguars next Sunday.
