Jalen Hurts Caught on Hot Mic Cursing at Teammate During Eagles' Loss to Rams

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was caught on a hot mic using an expletive toward teammate Dontayvion Wicks during the team's 24-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. The incident occurred in the first quarter when Hurts, frustrated by a lack of understanding on a play call, shouted at Wicks to "Get off the f---ing ball! Come on!"

The Eagles offense struggled throughout the game, particularly in the second half. After leading 20-10 at halftime, Philadelphia allowed the Rams to score 14 unanswered points to secure the victory. Hurts managed only 93 passing yards in the entire game, with just 10 yards coming in the second half. The team also lost running back Saquon Barkley to injury.

Broadcasters on FOX acknowledged the tense moment, with former player Tom Brady reacting with a simple "Uh oh," and play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt stating, "That's not good."

This is not the first time Hurts' frustrations have been captured on camera this season. The previous week, his reaction outside a medical tent after his backup threw an interception was also a point of discussion. Hurts later commented that he believed he was in a position to play, calling it a situation the team could learn from.

Despite the offensive struggles and Hurts' sideline outburst, Tanner McKee was promoted to the No. 2 quarterback position ahead of veteran Andy Dalton. Neither backup was needed during Sunday's game.

Following the loss, Hurts expressed confidence in his team and the offense under new coordinator Sean Mannion. "This is a team that is building and finding its way, and it's obviously a work in progress," Hurts said. "We just have to remain endured, be persistent, and keep committing to one another."

The Eagles are scheduled to travel to London to face the Jacksonville Jaguars next Sunday. The team will depart for England on Friday.
