Jake Paul to Return to Boxing Ring on Christmas Eve in Dubai

Jake Paul, the YouTuber who transitioned to professional boxing, has announced his return to the ring for a fight scheduled on Christmas Eve in Dubai. The announcement comes after a broken jaw sustained in his bout against former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua last December had threatened to derail his boxing career.

Paul, who told Ariel Helwani that the possibility of never boxing again was "in the realm of possibility," confirmed his intention to compete again. His comeback fight is set for December 24 in Dubai, with an opponent to be announced at a later date.

"I've spent years proving people wrong, taking risks and pushing myself against opponents nobody thought I’d face," Paul stated. "Nothing that’s happened has changed my belief in myself or what I’m working toward. I’m hungrier than ever, and on Thursday, December 24, I’m returning to the ring in Dubai to start the next chapter of my journey."

Paul's business partner, Nakisa Bidarian, commented on the fighter's determination. "Twelve months ago he suffered a double broken jaw against a two-time heavyweight world champion and since then many have doubted his desire or need to return to boxing. Well he is back, and that tells you everything about the competitor Jake Paul is and how much he loves this sport."

Paul's professional record stands at 12 wins and 2 losses. This includes a victory over Mike Tyson in November 2024. The Christmas Eve bout will take place exactly one year and five days after his fight with Joshua.

Paul's promotion company, Most Valuable Promotions, revealed the Dubai venue, with Paul expressing enthusiasm for the location. "Dubai is a city that thinks big, breaks boundaries and doesn’t believe in limits. That’s exactly the kind of place I want to make my comeback. We’ve got plenty of names on the list; let’s see who signs the contract. Merry Christmas, Dubai. Santa Paul is coming to town, and somebody’s getting knocked out."
