Jadon Sancho, the former Manchester United player who departed Old Trafford as a free agent this summer, has been training at the facilities of 10th-tier club Flixton FC as he considers his next career move.

Flixton FC, located just three miles from Manchester United's Carrington training base, confirmed Sancho's use of their ground. The club released a statement to address speculation surrounding his visit, clarifying that Sancho was not on trial or involved in transfer discussions. Instead, he used the facilities to maintain his fitness while preparing for the next stage of his career.

The club praised Sancho's professionalism, humility, and generosity, noting that he interacted positively with young supporters, signed autographs, and left a favorable impression. Flixton FC expressed pride that their facilities were deemed suitable for a player of Sancho's caliber and extended an open invitation for him to train there in the future.

Sancho, who joined Manchester United in 2021, experienced a turbulent period at the club. Following an initial challenging two seasons, he was excluded from competitive action for much of the 2023-24 season after a public disagreement with then-manager Erik ten Hag. He spent the latter half of that season on loan at his former club, Borussia Dortmund.

Sancho made history in May by becoming the first player to reach three European finals in three consecutive seasons with three different clubs. Despite these notable achievements and flashes of promise, his next club destination for the upcoming season remains unconfirmed. Reports have linked him with interest from Qatari side Al-Rayyan and Atletico Madrid.
