Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio reached a historic milestone Saturday, hitting his 20th home run of the 2026 season against the Texas Rangers. This accomplishment places him in exclusive company, as he is now the 17th player in Major League Baseball history to begin a career with three consecutive seasons of at least 20 home runs.

Chourio joined an illustrious group that includes Hall of Fame legends such as Ted Williams, Eddie Mathews, Mickey Mantle, and Frank Robinson. The 22-year-old expressed pride in being mentioned alongside these baseball icons, stating through an interpreter that they serve as great examples to follow.

The historic dinger was part of Chourio's 1-for-4 performance in the Brewers' 5-3 victory over the Rangers. He has been on a power surge recently, with three home runs in his last three games. Chourio is currently batting .281 with an .820 OPS.

Chourio emphasized that individual achievements, while significant, are secondary to the team's ultimate goal: winning a World Series. "The dream is to win," Chourio said. "That’s the hope this year — to continue winning and to win it all."

The Milwaukee Brewers are currently enjoying a successful season, holding a commanding eight-game lead over the Chicago Cubs in the National League Central Division. The team is riding a four-game winning streak heading into Sunday's series finale against the Rangers.
