Ja Morant's time with the Memphis Grizzlies has concluded following his trade to the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday. The deal, reported by ESPN's Shams Charania, sends the star guard to Portland in exchange for Jerami Grant and Kris Murray.
This trade marks the end of Morant's seven-season career with the Grizzlies, an organization that selected him second overall in the 2019 NBA draft. His tenure in Memphis was characterized by both flashes of brilliance on the court and a series of off-court incidents and league-imposed suspensions related to conduct involving firearms.
