Iowa Stuns Michigan with Last-Second Touchdown

Hank Brown's last-second touchdown pass lifted No. 17 Iowa to a dramatic 20-19 upset victory over No. 18 Michigan on Saturday. The Iowa quarterback connected with Reece Vander Zee for a 16-yard scoring strike as time expired, securing the win in front of a crowd at Michigan Stadium.
"To be able to silence a stadium like that, there’s no greater feeling," Brown said following the game.
The Hawkeyes' game-winning drive covered 91 yards and was aided by an unnecessary roughness penalty against Michigan on third down near midfield. Brown's 29-yard completion to Addison Ostrenga set up the decisive touchdown with two seconds remaining.
Michigan quarterback Bryce Underwood had given the Wolverines a 19-14 lead early in the fourth quarter with a 49-yard touchdown pass to JJ Buchanan, their second scoring connection of the game. However, Michigan (3-1, 0-1) could not hold on for the victory.
Iowa (4-0, 1-0) took its first lead of the fourth quarter on Brown’s 16-yard touchdown pass to Vander Zee. Later in the quarter, with Iowa facing a fourth-and-6 after a penalty, kicker Caden Buhr attempted a 51-yard field goal that went wide right with 2:33 left.
Iowa's next game is a road trip to face Ohio State, while Michigan will travel to play Minnesota.
