Independent Wrestling Returns to Spotswood, New Jersey After 11-Year Hiatus

Titan Championship Wrestling (TCW) is bringing independent professional wrestling back to Spotswood, New Jersey, for the first time in over a decade. The event, titled "Resurrection," is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Spotswood Columbian Club, with bell time set for 7 p.m. ET.

This marks the return of the sport to a town that has not hosted a wrestling event in approximately 11 years. Charles DeLutri, co-promoter for TCW, expressed enthusiasm about reintroducing the sport to the area. "This is a great experience for the people of Spotswood or any kind of professional wrestling fan in the area," DeLutri told OutKick Dropkick. "Wrestling has not been in that area for almost 11 years, and we're happy to bring you not only an unbelievable event, but at the same time, a portion of what we actually do here at Titan Championship Wrestling."

TCW aims to provide a well-rounded family entertainment experience, incorporating various wrestling styles from comedy to strong style. "We bring in any kind of sort of entertainment aspect to between the comedy style, the strong style, and the entertaining style to where that it's a fully rounded family experience for anybody to attend," DeLutri added.

The event's lineup features several prominent figures from the independent wrestling scene, including former WWE superstar Jay Tha Gawd (formerly known as JTG) and wrestler Joey Janela. Michael Fain, the current TCW heavyweight champion, is also slated to appear. DeLutri highlighted Fain as a rising talent within the promotion, noting his dedication since TCW's inception and his evolution into a leader within a faction called the TBA.

Independent professional wrestling is described as a sport where fans can connect with emerging talent and enjoy a live show, often at an affordable price point with family-friendly entertainment.
