Charley Hull matched the lowest round in Ladies European Tour history and set a new course record at the Centurion Club, moving into second place at the PIF London Championship. Hull carded a bogey-free 62, placing her just one stroke behind the tournament leader, 17-year-old Anna Huang of Canada.
Hull's performance on the second day saw her climb the leaderboard with an 11-under-par round. She began the day with a 74 and followed it with an eagle on the first hole, complemented by nine birdies. This remarkable score of 62 also surpassed the previous course record, which was held by her compatriot Georgia Hall since 2021.
With her 10-under total, Hull joins an elite group of golfers, including Haeran Ryu, Jessica Korda, Alison Lee, and Karrie Webb, who have recorded the lowest scores ever on the tour. Despite feeling fatigued from recent tournaments and dealing with ongoing injuries, Hull expressed surprise at her performance, noting that she felt she "left a couple of shots out there."
Hull also recently finished tied for sixth at The Open after being in contention on the final day and had an eventful week navigating a prank involving her caddie.
In third place, Lydia Hall of Wales is at eight-under-par following her round of 67. Leader Anna Huang acknowledged her round was more challenging than the previous day but expressed pride in her performance.
