Hull City's recent acquisition, Sorba Thomas, was involved in a road traffic accident on Friday morning while on his way to training. His Land Rover Defender was discovered overturned on its roof near the club's training ground.
The vehicle, described as a £60,000 model with a personalized number plate, sustained significant damage, with smashed glass visible at the scene. The incident occurred on Millhouse Wood Lane, a short distance from the Hull City training base.
A member of the club's staff, believed to be manager Sergej Jakirovic, was seen in the vicinity of the crash.
Thomas, a Welsh international, recently joined Hull City from Championship club Stoke City for a reported fee of £10 million. He has made two appearances for the Tigers this season, featuring in a Carabao Cup defeat and a Premier League draw against Aston Villa. He expressed his excitement about his Premier League debut on social media following the Aston Villa match.
Hull City is scheduled to play Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.
