Hull City is reportedly among the Premier League clubs vying for the signature of Manchester United goalkeeper Radek Vitek. Fellow promoted sides Coventry City and Ipswich Town are also understood to be interested in the young shot-stopper.

Vitek impressed during a loan spell with Championship club Bristol City last season, where he recorded 12 clean sheets in 41 appearances. Despite Manchester United's desire to retain the highly-rated player, his contract situation and a clear ambition for consistent playing time complicate his future at Old Trafford.

The 22-year-old Vitek has previously expressed his unwillingness to remain at Manchester United as a backup. He is seeking a starting role, often referred to as a No. 1 spot, and will not accept an understudy position.

Manchester United is reportedly open to selling Vitek, although a loan move could be an option if he commits to an extension on his current contract, which has two years remaining. The club is also actively seeking an experienced second-choice goalkeeper to support their presumed first-choice, Senne Lammens, with Sam Johnstone of Wolves and Karl Darlow of Leeds mentioned as potential targets.

Hull City is aiming to sign two goalkeepers this summer and has reportedly sent scouts to the World Cup. The club has also initiated talks with Sporting Braga for goalkeeper Lukas Hornicek and made an inquiry for Bayern Munich's Alexander Nubel, though Nubel is reportedly waiting for more appealing options.
