The opening foursomes match of the Solheim Cup in the Netherlands will feature England's Charley Hull and newcomer Lottie Woad facing the formidable American pairing of Nelly Korda and Allisen Corpuz.
Other opening matches will see Denmark's Nanna Koerstz Madsen and France's Celine Boutier take on Alison Lee and Lauren Coughlin. Germany's Henseleit and Ireland's Leona Maguire are paired against Andrea Lee and debutant Lindy Duncan. The Swedish duo of Maja Stark and Linn Grant will compete against Rose Zhang and Jennifer Kupcho.
The United States team has a strong recent record in opening foursomes sessions, having secured a 4-0 victory in 2023 and a 3-1 advantage in 2024. Europe is seeking to reclaim the Solheim Cup trophy after their 15½-12½ loss in Virginia two years ago, in what is considered the most significant team competition in women's golf.
