Havertz Injury Sparks Concern for Arsenal

Arsenal faces an early injury worry as Kai Havertz was substituted in the first half of Germany's Nations League fixture against the Netherlands. Havertz, leading the line for Germany in his first match under new head coach Jurgen Klopp, was replaced after 30 minutes due to an apparent hamstring problem.

The injury occurred shortly after Havertz was involved in a challenge with Quinten Timber, whose late tackle saw him catch the Arsenal forward high on the knee. Although Havertz appeared fortunate to avoid more significant contact from Timber's boot, he later signaled his hamstring issue before limping off the field. Younes Ebnoutalib came on as his replacement, making his international debut.

Havertz's injury is a concern for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, as the forward has been a consistent starter in the team's first five Premier League matches this season. Arteta has relied on Havertz to spearhead Arsenal's attack.

The upcoming international break provides Havertz with time to recover before Arsenal's next Premier League fixture against Leeds on October 10.

Separately, Sunderland forward Brian Brobbey also sustained a hamstring injury during the same international break. Brobbey was forced off the field for the Netherlands in the first half of their match against Germany. The incident occurred as Germany was attacking and subsequently scored through Felix Nmecha. Dutch players expressed frustration with the German team's continuation of play during the goal, with Brobbey's injury also necessitating his substitution.
