Harbaugh Urged to Abandon Giants' Running Back Committee

Criticism is mounting over the New York Giants' strategy of rotating running backs, with calls for head coach John Harbaugh to designate a primary ball carrier.

The current approach, which sees multiple running backs sharing carries, has been described as "ugly" and "not working," failing to establish the run-first offense Harbaugh has aimed to replicate from his time with the Baltimore Ravens.

On Sunday, four different running backs were utilized, but the constant substitutions reportedly prevented any player from finding rhythm, a situation that was not aided by the "dizzying pace" of the changes.

This lack of a consistent rushing attack has placed an undue burden on the quarterbacks, Jameis Winston and J.J. McCarthy. Harbaugh characterized McCarthy's recent play in a "desperation time" as distinct from "normal football."

The offensive struggles are seen as a direct consequence of the ineffective running back rotation, leading the team "down the wrong path."
