Lionesses goalkeeper Hannah Hampton has offered fans a look into her eventful summer break, which included international travel and significant personal and professional milestones. The 25-year-old Chelsea star has spent her time off recharging after participating in three major tournaments over the past four years.

Hampton's holiday itinerary took her to diverse locations such as Zanzibar and Barcelona. In Zanzibar, she shared glimpses of her experiences, including swimming with turtles and showing support for England's men's team during the World Cup. The trip also included a safari.

Before heading to Tanzania, Hampton attended Wimbledon, witnessing matches featuring top players Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka. She also enjoyed a concert by country music artist Luke Combs at Wembley Stadium, complete with cowboy attire. Her travels extended to Barcelona, where she visited landmarks like La Sagrada Familia and a local market, and even donned the jersey of her former club, Villarreal.

Amidst her travels, Hampton also finalized a new two-year contract with Chelsea, concluding a summer-long negotiation period. She joined Chelsea from Aston Villa in 2023 and became the club's primary goalkeeper during the 2024-25 season, contributing to their unbeaten treble-winning campaign. Hampton had previously established herself as Sarina Wiegman's first-choice goalkeeper for the national team, playing a key role in the Lionesses' second consecutive European title win.

Hampton expressed pride in extending her contract with Chelsea, calling it her "dream club." She aims to contribute to restoring the club's past success, following a season where Chelsea secured only the Women's League Cup and finished third in the top flight, also being eliminated from the Champions League quarterfinals. Chelsea Women recently concluded their pre-season tour with victories against an Auckland FC invitational side and the A-Leagues All Stars Women.

The upcoming Women's Super League season is set to begin shortly, with Chelsea scheduled to host Hampton's former team, Aston Villa, at Stamford Bridge. The league will also see the return of Mary Earps, who Chelsea is slated to face on December 13. This season, Chelsea plans to play all their home WSL games at Stamford Bridge.

Hampton returns to Chelsea hoping that last season's underwhelming campaign, in which the Blues' only trophy was the Women's League Cup, proves to be an exception.

In recognition of her achievements, Hampton also received an honorary doctorate in sports science from the University of Wolverhampton. She was honored for her significant contributions to football and her role as an inspiration to young people.
