Celebrity chef and television personality Guy Fieri has joined NASCAR's Cup Series team, Legacy Motor Club, as a strategic owner. Fieri announced his new role on Thursday, expressing his long-held affinity for motorsports.

"Motorsports and race cars have always had that raw energy I love — the people, the passion, the culture, the speed," Fieri said in a statement. "Legacy Motor Club is building something different, and I wanted to be part of it. This is about more than racing — it’s about creating a brand that connects with fans everywhere, from the track to the table."

Fieri, known for his Food Network shows and numerous restaurants, has also been a visible car enthusiast, often seen driving his 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS convertible on "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives." His involvement is expected to focus on collaborative content, fan engagement initiatives, and licensed merchandise that blends racing, food, and lifestyle culture.

Legacy Motor Club co-owner and NASCAR Hall of Famer Jimmie Johnson highlighted Fieri's authentic connection with people as a key reason for the partnership. "Guy has built an incredible brand by being authentic and connecting with people in a real way," Johnson stated. "That’s at the heart of what we’re building here. We want Legacy to reach far beyond race day, and Guy’s creativity, energy, and perspective are exactly what this ownership group is about."

This move follows a trend of celebrities entering motorsports ownership, with figures like Michael Jordan (23XI Racing in NASCAR) and David Letterman (Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing in IndyCar) already involved. Legacy Motor Club currently fields the No. 43 car for Erik Jones, who is 14th in the Cup Series standings, and the No. 42 car for John Hunter Nemechek, who is 27th.
