This marks the second consecutive loss for Boulter against a Czech opponent, having previously been defeated by Karolina Muchova at the US Open.
This marks the first time since 2023 that Great Britain has failed to advance to the semi-finals of the Billie Jean King Cup, and their pursuit of a maiden title will continue into another year. The Czech Republic, an 11-time winner of the tournament and the only team with two top-10 ranked players in the finals, will proceed to face either Kazakhstan or Spain in the semi-finals on Friday.
