Everton have reached an agreement to bring Jack Grealish back to the club on a season-long loan from Manchester City. The move is expected to be finalized before the transfer deadline on Tuesday. Grealish, 30, previously spent a portion of last season at Everton, scoring twice and providing six assists in 20 appearances before a foot injury ended his campaign prematurely.

Despite links to other clubs, including his boyhood team Aston Villa, Grealish's preference was to return to Everton. The club's chief executive, Angus Kinnear, indicated they had maintained contact with the winger.

In a separate move, striker Beto, 28, has completed a £14.58 million transfer to Serie A club Fiorentina. Beto departs Everton after scoring 25 goals in 113 appearances since his arrival from Udinese in 2023.

Everton are also reportedly nearing a £40 million deal to sign Folarin Balogun, an American forward from Monaco. The club has also agreed to a £3 million deal for Ainsley Maitland-Niles, a 29-year-old former Arsenal player who has five England caps and can play in defense or midfield. However, negotiations to re-sign Richarlison from Tottenham appear to have stalled over personal terms.

Grealish, who joined Manchester City from Aston Villa for £100 million in August 2021, has made two appearances for City this season. He featured as a substitute in the Community Shield and in the Premier League opener against Bournemouth but did not play in the recent match against Crystal Palace.

Additionally, Everton defender Nathan Patterson, 24, is in talks with Serie A side Torino regarding a potential transfer, though the terms of any deal remain unclear. The club was also reportedly in pursuit of Dutch full-back Kenny Tete from Fulham, but that move was contingent on Fulham securing a replacement.
