A golfer in Cincinnati, Ohio, is recovering after being struck by lightning while filming his friends attempt to free a stuck golf cart during a storm. The incident occurred last week on a golf course.
The man was reportedly standing under a tree and holding an umbrella when the lightning strike occurred. Video footage captured the moment of the strike, which was followed by a loud bang and a flash of light.
According to meteorologist Matt Devitt, the golfer was struck on the arm. He was not severely injured and is recovering from injuries that are not considered life-threatening. Devitt shared the incident as a reminder for people to seek shelter during thunderstorms, advising, "When thunder roars, go indoors."
