Golfer Charley Hull addressed speculation surrounding an ice cream cone she was seen holding during a recent round at the Evian Championship, clarifying that she did not eat it.

Hull explained that the ice cream was intended for her caddie, and she held it briefly while the caddie was tending to a club. The incident occurred during a round where Hull experienced a significant turnaround, playing her final 12 holes at 7-under par after an initial two bogeys.

Despite the visually striking image of a golfer holding a frozen treat mid-competition, Hull stated her typical in-round nutrition consists of more conventional items like energy bars and bananas, consumed every other hole. She maintains that her comeback in the tournament was fueled by self-belief and a relaxed approach rather than the ice cream itself.

This year marks Hull's 11th event of the season. Prior to the Evian Championship, she had secured top-10 finishes at the Chevron and a top-2 finish at the U.S. Women's Open. She was forced to withdraw from the previous year's Evian Championship due to illness.

Hull is currently positioned among the top three at the Evian Championship, trailing the leader by three strokes. She described her participation in the tournament as a welcome experience, likening it to a brief holiday.
